Terms & Conditions

Highstreet Digital is a business run by Muhammed Abubaker Aboo (sole proprietor), based in Pretoria, South Africa. Contact: moe@highstreetdigital.co.za.
1. What we do
We design, build, host and maintain websites for small businesses. When you engage us, these terms, together with the written quote and agreement we provide, form the agreement between us.
2. Pricing and payment
- Setup fee: R1,500 once-off. A 50% deposit (R750) is payable before we begin building, and is non-refundable once paid (see our Refund & Cancellation Policy). The balance (R750) is due once your website is live and you have approved it.
- Monthly fee: R600 per month, covering hosting, your domain, the SSL certificate, backups, security updates and reasonable content changes. It begins on the day your site goes live — never before — and is collected automatically each month.
- All prices are in South African Rand. Highstreet Digital is not a registered VAT vendor, so no VAT is charged.
- Card payments are processed securely by PayFast. We never see or store your card details.
3. What we need from you
To build your site we need your logo, photographs, business details and timely feedback. You confirm that any material you send us is yours to use. If we do not hear from you for 30 days during a build, we may pause the project until you are ready.
4. Ownership
Your domain is registered in your business name and your content remains yours. Once the setup fee is paid in full, the website we build for you is yours to keep. We may show your site as an example of our work unless you ask us not to.
5. Changes and additional work
The monthly fee covers hosting and reasonable content changes — prices, hours, staff, photos and text on existing pages. Substantial new work — extra pages, new features, a redesign or an online shop — is quoted separately and only carried out once you have agreed the cost in writing.
6. What we do not promise
We do not promise any specific Google ranking, search position, or number of enquiries or customers. We carry out the work that improves your visibility, but no one can honestly guarantee a ranking. We aim for your site to be available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted service, and we are not liable for losses caused by downtime outside our control.
7. Responsibility and liability
You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us and for ensuring your business complies with any rules that apply to it. Neither party is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profit. Our total liability to you is limited to the total amount you have paid us in the three months before any claim.
8. Cancelling
You may cancel at any time on one calendar month’s written notice. There is no lock-in period. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for full details of what happens on cancellation.
9. Personal information
We handle personal information in line with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA). See our Privacy Policy.
10. General
This agreement is governed by the laws of South Africa. Changes to it must be agreed in writing by both parties. If a dispute arises, both parties will make a genuine attempt to resolve it by discussion before taking any other step.
